Download or read book Ghostwriters From The Inside Out written by Matt Climber and published by Editora Bibliomundi. This book was released on 2022-03-09 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As a successful entrepreneur you need to communicate all day, every day, with your customers, suppliers, partners, employees, and others. Chances are you are pretty good, perhaps even excellent at spoken communications. Chances are you are also pretty good when it comes to very short factual written communications, like emails, or short business letters. However, whether you have major writing-related business plans such as creating in-depth websites, or writing white papers or e-books, books for traditional print publishing or presentations to be distributed, you may benefit from the services of a so-called “ghost writer” or “ghostwriter.” Ghostwriters can help you with fiction or non-fiction; they can help you with materials you have in development or they can help you with crafting materials from scratch. They can even help with every day business communications, though they may not be as cost-effective for that. Like any ‘human capital’ resource, the trick with finding and using a great ghostwriter is in understanding what you’re trying to achieve, matching the resource to your goals, timelines, and budgets, and recognizing what a ghostwriter can and cannot do for you and your business. Chances are, he or she can do a lot!

Download or read book Shakespeare's Ghost Writers written by Marjorie Garber and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-11-26 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The plays of Shakespeare are filled with ghosts - and ghost writing. Shakespeare's Ghost Writers is an examination of the authorship controversy surrounding Shakespeare: the claim made repeatedly that the plays were ghost written. Ghosts take the form of absences, erasures, even forgeries and signatures - metaphors extended to include Shakespeare himself and his haunting of us, and in particular theorists such Derrida, Marx, Nietzsche, and Freud - the figure of Shakespeare constantly made and remade by contemporary culture. Marjorie Garber, one of the most eminent Shakespearean theorists writing today, asks what is at stake in the imputation that "Shakespeare" did not write the plays, and shows that the plays themselves both thematize and theorize that controversy. This Routledge Classics edition contains a new preface and new chapter by the author.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ghostwriting provides the first comprehensive analysis of the fictional prose narratives of one of contemporary Germany's most recognized authors, the émigré writer W. G. Sebald. Examining Sebald's well-known published texts in the context of largely unknown unpublished works, and informed by documents and information from Sebald's literary estate, this book offers a detailed portrait of his characteristic literary techniques and how they emerged and matured out of the practices and attitudes he represented in his profession as a literary scholar. The title "Ghostwriting†? signals the convergence in Sebald's works of a set of diverse historical questions, philosophical views, and literary practices. Many historical ghosts haunt Sebald's narratives on the level of story. Moreover, Sebald's narrator plays the role of a ghostwriter in the profound sense that his stories fictionally re-enact the histories of obscure, but once-living individuals whose lives they revitalize, and whose fates are tied up with the most virulent historical conjunctures of the modern world. This study thus seeks to comprehend the constitutive elements of Sebald's "poetics of history,†? his implementation of literary tools for effective historical memorializing.

Download or read book Ghostwriting Modernism written by Helen Sword and published by Cornell University Press. This book was released on 2018-05-31 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spiritualism is often dismissed by literary critics and historians as merely a Victorian fad. Helen Sword demonstrates that it continued to flourish well into the twentieth century and seeks to explain why. Literary modernism, she maintains, is replete with ghosts and spirits. In Ghostwriting Modernism she explores spiritualism's striking persistence and what she calls "the vexed relationship between mediumistic discourse and modernist literary aesthetics." Sword begins with a brief historical review of popular spiritualism's roots in nineteenth-century literary culture. In subsequent chapters, she discusses the forms of mediumship most closely allied with writing, the forms of writing most closely allied with mediumship, and the thematic and aesthetic alliances between popular spiritualism and modernist literature. Finally, she accounts for the recent proliferation of a spiritualist-influenced vocabulary (ghostliness, hauntings, the uncanny) in the works of historians, sociologists, philosophers, and especially literary critics and theorists. Documenting the hitherto unexplored relationship between spiritualism and modern authors (some credulous, some skeptical), Sword offers compelling readings of works by James Joyce, T. S. Eliot, W. B. Yeats, H.D., James Merrill, Sylvia Plath, and Ted Hughes. Even as modernists mock spiritualism's ludicrous lingo and deride its metaphysical excesses, she finds, they are intrigued and attracted by its ontological shiftiness, its blurring of the traditional divide between high culture and low culture, and its self-serving tendency to favor form over content (medium, so to speak, over message). Like modernism itself, Sword asserts, spiritualism embraces rather than eschews paradox, providing an ideological space where conservative beliefs can coexist with radical, even iconoclastic, thought and action.
